A. Enable Sort and Filter Function

Enabling sort and filter functions is the same, and there are 2 ways you can do, namely:

Way 1:

  • Highlight column headings (the data underneath is unnecessary)
  • Go to Home menu
  • Select the sort and filter menu on the far right
  • click on filter options

Way 2:

  • Highlight column title (data need not be highlighted)
  • Go to menu or Data tab
  • Click on Filter option

Later when successful will appear an arrow at the right end of each column.

B. Sorting data on excel (high to low or vice versa)

After the sort and filter functions are active, then you can sort the aliases to sort data from highest to lowest, the way is:

  • Click on the arrow at the end of the column to open the dropdown menu
  • Select Sort smallest to largest to sort the data from the smallest to the highest
  • Select Sort largest to smallest to sort data from highest to lowest

C. Filter data on excel

If you want to display only certain data, you can do the following steps:

  • Uncheck the box marked Select all
  • Check on the specific data you want to display
