Mozes Kilangin International Airport (TIM) is an international airport located in Mimika district, Timika, Papua province.
The airport was inaugurated on July 18, 2008 by then Minister of Transport, Jusman Syafii Djamal and was the first international airport in Timika, Papua.
The name Mozes Kilangin itself is taken from the name of a first teacher in the Amugme tribe. This tribe inhabits the plains around Timika. Mozes Kilangin was the first Ambonese to study in Holland, and later worked as a government official. Therefore, Mozes became a symbol of the pride of the people of Timika, especially the Amugme tribe.
In addition to serving International flights, the airport also serves domestic flights as well as flights for cargo.
